Our History

December 1997
Cascade began operations as Cascade Steaming Ltd with one steam truck in Fort St. John, British Columbia.

October 2003
Obtained Certificate of Recognition.

June 2004 
Purchased Indy Oilfield in Grande Prairie, Alberta complimenting each other in service options. Indy Oilfield began operations in 2001 and specialized in pressure testing for pipelines, facilities and wellhead hydrates.

July 2004
Acquired by Avenir Divsersified Income Trust and became Cascade Services Partnership.

June 2005 
Acquisition of D&G Oil and Gas in Fort St. John, British Columbia

April 2006
Addition of Dawson Creek office.

May 2006
Avenir Diversified Income Trust spins out Cascade and other service companies under new entity Essential Energy Services Trust.

July 2008
Essential Energy Services Trust sells Transportation Division to the Mullen Group. Assets include Cascade Services Partnership and Jacar Energy Services who collectively operate under new entity Cascade Energy Services LP. Jacar is comprised of Jacar Hot Oil Service Ltd., A&B Hot Oil, Blue Vac and Richmound Energy Services. Jacar is a well known and widely respected company in southern Alberta and southeastern Saskatchewan. This strategic combination provides operational synergies and a full range of truck based services between Cascade in the north and Jacar in the south.

January 2009
Tank truck division of Mullen’s Formula Powell division comes under management of Cascade Services.

August 2009 
Acquisitions of Blackwater Oil and Gas and Durango Oilfield Services. Blackwater rolls up under Cascade Services adding a new base of operations in Tumbler Ridge, BC. Durango becomes 3rd operating division of Cascade Energy Services LP operating in Hudson’s Hope, BC.

November 2010 
Acquisition of Radium Solutions. Radium rolls up under Cascade Services’ Grande Prairie branch. Radium started operations in 2004 as a family oriented business, locally owned and operated, proud to give back to the community and local charities, which are the same values of CESLP today.

Present
Today Cascade Energy Services LP operates over 250 units in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Tumbler Ridge and Hudson’s Hope, British Columbia; Grande Prairie, Wabasca, Pincher Creek, Taber, Brooks and Medicine Hat, Alberta; and Richmound, Saskatchewan under the leadership of current President and Cascade Steaming Ltd. founder, Ken Wagner.
